"Coverage and reimbursement" addresses things you may need to know about your health insurance benefits and issues that may affect provider reimbursement for use of our medicines.

You may have private health insurance or be covered by Medicare or Medicaid. We can help you with issues that include:

  • What your health insurance benefits really are (known as "benefits investigations")
  • Whether your insurer must pre-approve use of a specific Genentech medicine (known as "prior authorization")
  • Appeals and denials (if the insurer decides you are not covered or appropriate for use of a specific Genentech medicine)
